👉 Opensource is how we can contribute towards the development of the software/ tools/ technologies by improving its features, solving bugs in it, etc. For any open source project, we can get the source code of it, and is available freely
👉 To contribute to the opensource, we can join the community to understand the code that might be kept in Github or some other SCM tool and further contribute. Dockerhub, helm, ansible-galaxy are also the ways of contributing in the opensource tools like docker, k8s, ansible we can submit our created images, roles over there which others can use
👉 When we contribute it showcase our skill in the particular domain. It gives us skills to deal with the large codebases which are important. The opensource project has many things to learn while we contribute so we can improve our skills too
👉 Gitlab and Github both are open-source tools Gitlab is the one that is used for automation building DevOps pipelines while on the other hand, GitHub is an open-source SAM tool used for code management among the teams

👉 Kubernetes is an open-source container orchestration tool meant for automatic scaling, deployment, and multiple features like this for the containers
